Carborundum vase by Erik Höglund for Boda.
The carborundum vases were presented in 1956 and produced for a short period only.
Normally potatoe peel and saw dust was used to created the bubbles in Erik Höglunds objects. For this series Carborundum - silicon carbide - was used to create a shimmering iridescence within the blue-grey glass.
