Early 1930s beauty by Åke and Atte Holm.
Between 1928 and 1933 Åke Holm and his brother Atte Holm had their own studio in Höganäs. Atte Holm moved from Höganäs and continued as a fine but not very appreciated ceramist, while Åke Holm became one of the most respected ceramic artist in Sweden, especially for his stoneware sculptures with biblical motifs.
This vase from the Holm brothers studio is a fine example of Åke Holms austere manner.
